What makes them boss

Q: Tell us about your business.

The Bmore Creatives is dedicated to promoting and connecting the creative community throughout the city, both on social media and beyond. Online, we exist mainly on Instagram, where we feature different artists, makers, small business owners, avid-IGers — anyone doing cool/creative stuff in Baltimore. (These photos are mainly pulled from #thebmorecreatives tag, where over 33k perspectives have been shared!) Offline, we partner with various local organizations and artists in order to create spaces where like-minded locals with creative passions can connect IRL.

Q: What accomplishment are you celebrating right now?

For our most recent event, we partnered with Sugarvale, a local cocktail bar, for a #TBT to the 90's night, where we had various throwback cocktails (think: Carrie's Cosmos, Yoo-hoo White Russians).

Q: What keeps you motivated?

One of our favorite parts about running The Bmore Creatives account is being able to connect and work with local Baltimore creatives. We've been very fortunate to work with many talented entrepreneurs and business owners who motivate us just by doing what they do.

Q: What's one tip you want to share with other entrepreneurs?

Alexa: Don't stop. There'll be weeks that will be challenging and hard to deal with and whether it's personal or business related, don't forget why you started this journey and your overall goal.

Lucie: If no one hates it, no one will love it. Especially on social media, you're always gonna have to deal with negativity in some capacity, so learning how to roll with it will help in the long run.

Q: Why should others join us for lady boss?

Our first Lady Boss event was such an amazing experience. It gave us the chance to openly discuss and ask questions about our own experiences while also listening and learning from other incredibly positive and empowering women, so it was a no-brainer.
